What terrific programs we've had so far this year! Thanks to our members for their suggestions and to Joy Bishop for lining up speakers for our meetings!
Our members are involved in many venues throughout the year. Those who participate in sled pulls had a slow winter due to the lack of snow. The Michigan show year has already started up and we'll have a ton of shows to participate in for conformation and performance. Our members have quite a lot of experience in many fields and gladly share their knowledge whenever they can.
The Battle Creek Kennel Club has three terrific meetings scheduled so far this year followed by our July shows and our August Club picnic!

May 15, 2012 - Liz Stenson - a breed study on the Chinese Crested
June 19, 2012 - Our annual "Meet The Breeds" meeting. Club members bring one of their dogs and the public is invited to join us and meet our dogs! Light refreshments are provided and a short meeting is held following the program. Our public meet the breeds "program" will start earlier than our usual meeting time - check back later to find out the exact time!
July - we do not hold a July meeting as our shows are held in July.
August 21, 2012 - Our annual Club picnic!
Our meeting nights all start at 7:30 pm with snacks. At 8:00 pm, our program starts and usually runs about 45 minutes with plenty of time to ask questions. After just a short break to grab another snack, our business meeting will start and normally runs about 20 minutes.
We are looking forward to our July 2012 shows. Please come and join us for our shows on Saturday & Sunday and for Holland's day on Friday! We are very excited and hope you will be able to attend our shows. We'll again have another wonderful raffle table on Saturday. Start picking up items when you're out this year to put together a basket for the raffle.
